Oppositional Defiant Teenager

Service Description

It’s natural for teenagers to defy their parents or caretakers' attempts to offer direction and guidance. Rebellion is the teenage way of breaking away and forming an independent identity. However, when teens exhibit extremely resistant behavior, such as constant arguing and refusal to follow household rules, they’re sometimes given an Oppositional Defiant Disorder diagnosis (also known as ODD). ODD can be detrimental for the teen and confusing for parents. Many parents reach out because their teen is out of control, and they want to know why, what it means, and what comes next. First things first, get a proper diagnosis before we start a prescriptive treatment program to address this behavioral disorder.
